Daniel Pascoal Garfo, Master Luthier of Delfina Guitars, was born in Singen, Germany in 1978. The son of Portuguese parents, he returned to Portugal at the age of 6. He took the normal course of study with a focus on architecture at the Universidade Lusiada. He studied classical and flamenco guitar construction in southern Spain. He has been developing projects linked to the construction of plucked musical instrument prototypes and has been teaching the art of guitar making. He has been developing prototypes of giant musical instruments for children enrolled at CCB – Centro Cultural de Belém.
Marco Gonçalves master woodworker, has been dedicated to the art of traditional Portuguese joinery for 9 years. He studied at the Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation in the area of Arts and Crafts in wood. He collaborated in the first Technical Course of the Iberian Peninsula of the Construction of Musical Instruments with the Ministry of Education. He developed and provided training in the area of carpentry and in the area of construction of musical instruments. He is passionate about the raw material and he feeds on the will, dedication, and respect for ancestral crafts linked to the arts of wood, structures, furniture, inlays, polishing, and the construction of instruments and musical objects.
