Mitchell Paulson Guitars

My name is Mitchell Paulson. I was born and raised in the upper midwest before relocating to Montana for the duration of my career. I am a graphic artist by education and profession and apply that experience to my work every day. After study at the American School of Lutherie, retirement has recently brought me to central Oregon.

MPGuitars are all handcrafted in my one-man shop. Selecting and designing all the elements that come together to make a guitar is always one of my favorite tasks. All the wood used in making an instrument pass through my hands. I do my own inlay and marquetry, as well. Instruments that look good and want to be played are my passion. My hand made guitars, built one at a time, are always unique and one of a kind. I am mostly self-taught, although many luthiers have inspired me through their work and writings.
