I approach my work with two goals, to build responsive guitars that inspire players, and to design with longevity and future repairs in mind. Those goals made me reconsider aspects of traditional American guitar design and adopt the cutaway sound hole and a V shaped bracing pattern. I also developed the Halo bolt on system which allows the neck of my guitars to be removed without any tools and reduces the time and risk associated with neck resets.

I learned the basics of guitar work while attending workshops with Dale Unger at the Nazareth Guitar Institute. I later built my skills at Ken Smith Basses for three years and learned the business model and work processes of a small scale production. I also attended the Galloup School of Lutherie and earned the Journeyman’s certificate in 2014.
