This is a full-size steel string for a "Lefty"— my guitar instructor to be specific. He plays gigs all around here and teaches guitar as well. He actually makes a living at music! This is his second JWCG guitar and it is a super good player and beautiful as well. The back and sides are "sinker" Maple that is hard to find and can be difficult to work with. I had several sets cut from a log and then stored for a few years to dry out and relax a bit. The binding is Amboyna Burl and the top is Alaskan Sitka Spruce with a lot of bear claw in it. We really like the "12 frets to the body" as it puts the bridge in the best place on the top (in our opinion) but it does limit access to the upper frets unless you do a cut-away like this instrument.
Check out the website for pictures of this guitar (sold to Gregg Peake) and another "Right Hand" almost twin (sold to Doc Pitillo/The Guitar Doctor). Doc is a legend around these parts (Southern California). He has a shop in Costa Mesa that does setups, repairs, and sales. He's the best in the business.
Softcase included.
