Our standard five-course mandocello is standard to us in size, shape, and the presence of a front soundhole. This instrument is constructed from Spruce and Walnut. It is tuned to fifths from the C below the E of the guitar to the high E of the guitar. It has a greater range than the guitar because of the low C and can do anything a guitar can do but with a different voice because of different harmony but also because of the double strings. The instrument is very flexible for open tunings. The mandocello is a specialty of our company. We make them in different models and styles and champion them to all players of stringed instruments.
