This Gypsy guitar is made as faithfully as possible in the Selmer guitar style but I have added my own modifications. The top is bent just behind the bridge. This is called a 'pliage' top. The Selmer-style guitar has an angled cutaway side - the side is angled along the neck heel.

  • Back and Sides: Laminated Pau Ferro
  • Top: Sitka spruce with 'pliage' top
  • Neck: Mahogany
  • Bridge: BLACKWOOD *
  • Fingerboard Ebony
  • Tailpiece: DR Selmer-style tailpiece
  • Tuner: Gotoh
  • Nut: Bone
  • Guitar Finish: Semi-gloss antique nitrocellulose lacquer
  • Scale Length: 670mm

*Blackwood is a material made from the chemical treatment of infinite and renewable softwoods to substitute for near-extinct hardwoods. It has properties more perfect than thousands of years old hardwood. With density and hardness similar to that of sandalwood, Dalbergia cochinchinensis, and ebony, Blackwood is characterized by its high stability, durability, and high density, overcoming the shortcomings of original timber. It has the additional advantages of high refraction, it is waterproof, UV-proof, marine-proof, and termite-proof.

Semi-hard case included
