Sono α is the first iteration of a minimalist reimagining of the essential structure of the acoustic guitar purposed as a jazz instrument. The full acoustic voice is not unlike that of a flat top, emanating from a slim body of African Blackwood and a tightly arched European Spruce. An onboard Fishman SBT soundboard transducer pickup and Kent Armstrong jazz humbucker can be combined through the stereo output to provide separate signals for acoustic and electric amplifiers to create the perfect blend of sound for your unique purposes - and in stereo. A multiscale fingerboard, running 26.5 inches on the bass side and 25.5 inches on the treble side, fills out the bottom register, and Monel strings and an adjustable humbucker mounting allow one to perfectly balance the string balance for the magnetic pickup signal.
