I designed this bass after prototyping a new acoustic bass for Breedlove Guitars. It doesn't have the limitations of a production bass, but incorporates some of the ideas I developed for them.

Its 35" scale is comfortably familiar to electric bassists, and the scalloped back reliefs make it a very comfortable bass to stand or sit with. Curly Maple, Mahogany and Ebony, with a three octave fingerboard, and a 5th position thumb rest on the back of the neck.

This is a small acoustic bass, not a big acoustic guitar. The voice was developed over forty years of building Compact Acoustic Basses, and has the sound of a small upright bass, full and rich and with extended harmonics, deep thump, and long sustain.
