The inspiration for this guitar came from having lived in Brazil for many years and seeing the parrots there. I decided to pay homage to those beautiful birds by using a peghead marquetry overlay of a parrot in the wild. The guitar itself is an OM size with Rosewood back and sides and an old-growth Sitka Spruce soundboard. The neck is Mahogany laminated with Rosewood and Maple and the back of the peghead has a figured Mahogany veneer. The bindings and end graft are flamed Maple. The tuners are Gotoh and the finish is lacquer. The guitar is loaded with a B-Band pickup system.
